Vacherot Goes from Qualifier to Champion at the Shanghai Masters

Qualifying for the main draw and conquering the field, Valentin Vacherot (MON) secured his first-ever ATP Tour title at the ATP Masters 1000 in Shanghai.

In the final, Vacherot defeated his cousin, Arthur Rinderknech (FRA), in a thrilling three-set comeback, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. His remarkable run to the final marked the lowest ranking player to reach an ATP Masters final in history.

This victory is also a monumental milestone, bringing the Principality of Monaco its first ATP Tour title.

Throughout the tournament, Vacherot showcased a powerful serve and steady strokes, dispatching several top players. His ability to maintain calm and consistent play through a series of tough matches was key to this historic achievement.

As a result of this triumph, Vacherot’s world ranking soared from No. 204 to a career-high No. 38.

We look forward to Vacherot's continued success and remarkable journey ahead.
