Yonex One-Year Limited Warranty
For Tennis and Badminton Racquets
1. Warranty Coverage
Yonex Corporation (“Yonex”) provides this One-Year Limited Warranty exclusively to the original purchaser of a Yonex tennis or badminton racquet, who resides in the United States. This limited warranty is non-transferable and does not extend to subsequent owners or transferees.
This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the tennis or badminton racquet for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase, as evidenced by a valid proof of purchase. Subject to inspection and evaluation, Yonex will, at its sole discretion, replace any eligible tennis or badminton racquet found to be defective under normal use during the warranty period.
2. Warranty Claim Requirements
To be eligible for warranty coverage, all claims must:
- Be submitted by the original purchaser.
- Originate from a valid U.S. address.
- Include a valid proof of purchase (e.g., receipt or order confirmation).
3. Exclusions
This limited warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from:
a) Transportation or shipping;
b) Storage conditions;
c) Improper use or misuse;
d) Failure to follow product instructions or perform recommended maintenance;
e) Modification or alteration of the product;
f) Unauthorized repairs or servicing;
g) Normal wear and tear;
h) External causes, including accidents, abuse, or events beyond Yonex’s reasonable control;
i) Damage caused by third parties;
j) String breakage;
k) Cosmetic blemishes or non-functional changes in appearance;
l) Racquets previously replaced by Yonex under a prior warranty claim;
m) Improper restringing, including deviation from the official stringing pattern; or
n) Exposure to excessive heat.
4. Products Not Covered
This warranty does not apply to:
a) Racquets purchased from sources other than us.yonex.com or authorized Yonex dealers;
b) Products designated as promotional, demonstration, or sample items;
c) Racquets purchased from private parties or unauthorized distribution channels, including internet auction sites; and
d) Yonex-branded products designated for sale outside the United States;
5. Warranty Claim Process
We’re here to help! If you experience an issue with your Yonex racquet, please follow these steps to initiate a warranty claim.
How to Submit a Claim
a) For racquets purchased from an authorized Yonex dealer, please contact the selling dealer for details.
b) For racquets purchased from us.yonex.com, please complete the “Contact Us” form at us.yonex.com and select “Warranty” as the reason for contact.
c) For either claim process, you will need to provide: (i) proof of purchase and/or order number, (ii) a written description of the alleged defect, and (iii) photographs or videos clearly showing the defect.
Inspection and Resolution
a) The tennis or badminton racquet must be returned to Yonex for inspection. Please leave the strings intact.
b) Upon receipt, Yonex will review the claim within approximately 2–3 weeks.
c) If the claim is approved, Yonex will provide a replacement racquet or, if the original model is discontinued, an upgraded model. The replacement will be shipped via ground delivery within 2–3 business days.
d) If the claim is denied, Yonex will notify you by email, including the reason for denial. If you wish to have your racquet returned, you may request return shipping at your expense.
