Taylor Townsend has enjoyed some of the best tennis of her career since returning to the tour following maternity leave, establishing herself as one of the world's premier doubles players while continuing to climb the singles rankings. In 2025, she captured her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open and ascended to World No. 1 in doubles, becoming the first mother to reach the top ranking in WTA doubles history.
Building on that success, Townsend continued her winning form in 2026, claiming prestigious WTA 1000 doubles titles at Indian Wells, Miami, and Madrid alongside partner Kateřina Siniaková, including a Sunshine Double sweep at Indian Wells and Miami.
On the singles court, Townsend reached a career-high ranking of No. 46 and has become one of the most versatile players on tour, known for her dynamic all-court game and fearless net play.
Townsend's success began long before the professional tour. As a junior, she won the Australian Open girls' singles title and finished as the ITF Junior World No. 1, becoming the first American to earn the year-end top ranking since 1982. Today, she continues to inspire fans worldwide through her perseverance, athleticism, and trailblazing achievements both on and off the court.
