Playing with both power and poise on the grass at Wimbledon, Elena Rybakina captured the 2022 title to become the first player from Kazakhstan, man or woman, to win a Grand Slam singles title. Equally formidable on hard courts, she reached her second major final at the Australian Open in 2023, a run that propelled her into the Top 10 for the first time. Later that season, Rybakina claimed her maiden WTA 1000 title at Indian Wells before adding a second WTA 1000 crown in Rome. She continued her rise in 2024, winning three WTA 500 titles in Brisbane, Abu Dhabi and Stuttgart.
In 2025, Rybakina reached another milestone, capturing her first WTA Finals title in Riyadh with a dominant undefeated run through the tournament.
The 2026 season has been a defining chapter in Rybakina’s career. She opened the year by claiming her second Grand Slam title at the Australian Open. Later in the season, Rybakina made history again at the US Open, capturing her first title in New York and securing her third Grand Slam championship. The victory also marked her rise to World No. 1 for the first time, making her the first player from Kazakhstan to reach the top of the WTA rankings.
