Some of Taylor Townsend’s best tennis has come since returning from maternity leave, with the American reaching two Grand Slam women’s doubles finals — at the 2022 US Open and at 2023 Roland-Garros. She achieved a major breakthrough in 2025 by winning the Australian Open women’s doubles title, capturing her first Grand Slam crown. On the singles court, she reached a career high of No. 57in the WTA Rankings in 2024. Townsend was also extremely successful as a junior, winning the Australian Open girls’ singles titleand holding the junior World No. 1ranking.
