An Se Young, a South Korean badminton prodigy, has had a remarkable career. She burst onto the international scene in 2017, winning the mixed team title at the Asian Junior Championships. In 2019, she clinched her first BWF World Tour title at the New Zealand Open, defeating the 2012 Olympic gold medalist Li Xuerui.
Her career soared in 2022, as she secured gold medals in both the women's singles and team events at the Asian Games. In 2023, An made history by becoming the first Korean women's singles player to win the World Championships. She continued her dominance by winning the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking South Korea's first gold in this event since 1996"
