Chizzy Iwai is one of Japan’s most exciting young golf talents and a rising star on the global stage. After making her professional debut in 2021, she quickly showed her potential by winning her first professional title on the JLPGA Step-Up Tour that same year. In 2022, at the age of 20, she made a major breakthrough on the JLPGA regular tour, winning in consecutive weeks and establishing herself as one of the brightest young players in Japanese golf.
Her momentum continued with two JLPGA victories in 2023, followed by three more wins in 2024. In 2025, Iwai further elevated her career by successfully defending her title at the JLPGA Daikin Orchid Ladies Golf Tournament before capturing the LPGA MEXICO Riviera Maya Open, earning her first LPGA Tour victory in her rookie season.
Chizzy is the twin sister of fellow professional golfer Akie Iwai, and together they have become one of the most exciting sibling stories in women’s golf. Following in the footsteps of iconic golf sisters such as the Kordas and the Jutanugarns, the Iwai twins are expected to continue competing on the highest stage in the world.
