World Tour Double Crown for Team Yonex at India Open 2026

The India Open 2026, the second tournament of the BWF World Tour season and a Super 750 event, concluded with another outstanding showing from Team Yonex, following its sweep of all five titles at the Malaysia Open the previous week.

One of the biggest highlights of the tournament came in men’s singles, where world No.12 Lin Chun Yi (TPE) captured his first Super 750 title. Displaying excellent control at the net, the 26-year-old left-hander defeated his Indonesian opponent in straight games in the final. Having previously claimed a Super 300 title as his career best, Lin expressed his joy, saying he could hardly put his emotions into words after the match.

In men’s doubles, Japan’s Kyohei Yamashita and Daiki Midorikawa delivered an impressive performance, reaching their first Super 750 final. After defeating higher-ranked pairs from India and Malaysia, the Japanese duo finished as runners-up following a hard-fought final against China’s Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang.

Women’s doubles also saw strong results from Japan, as Yuki Fukushima and Mayu Matsumoto advanced to the final. Although they fell to China’s Tang Ning and Liu Sheng Shu, the pair continued their consistent run of top-four finishes at major tournaments since last autumn.

In women’s singles, An Se Young (KOR) once again demonstrated her dominance, defeating Wang Zhi Yi (CHN) in straight games to claim back-to-back titles following her victory at the Malaysia Open.

Mixed doubles honors went to Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran (THA), who captured their first tour title since November with an energetic and aggressive performance.

With another strong showing across all events, Team Yonex continues to build momentum as the 2026 season progresses.
